"Am I safe and do I matter?"
I am driven to create trauma-informed education and workplaces so that all can live with dignity and reach their true potential. My experiences of PTSD, born from the 2011 Fukushima disasters, led to my PhD in trauma-informed teaching of English, which I completed while undergoing treatment for stage 3 cancer. These experiences, as well as my 20 years of teaching adult students from 37 countries, have given me particular insights into the human condition and the ways we interact.
I specialise in the teaching of adults who have survived significant trauma, marginalisation, and deficit beliefs by those in power. My research focuses on psychological trauma and the necessity for inclusion, belonging, transparency, agency, and justice. I am motivated by an endless quest for quality and true understanding. Ethics and integrity are my currency, and clear, concise communication is my language.
20 years of teaching, training, and creating courses for adults from diverse backgrounds including former refugees, immigrants, and neurodivergent students.
I know that truly listening and collaborating are the key to success. I work closely with clients to understand their challenges and goals, and develop solutions that are tailored to their unique needs. My approach is transparent, results-driven, and designed to help organisations - and the people in them - thrive.

Educational and organisational consulting in psychosocial safety, inclusion, and diversity. When people feel valued and heard and have the opportunities they need to develop and shine, they will reach their full potential.
I specialise in working in culturally and linguistically diverse environments, with people who have experienced situational fragility and forced migration, and with neurodivergent learners and employees.
